VISION

To provide independent, unbiased scientific support for the safe use of fragrance materials.

To review, evaluate and assess the safety of fragrance materials submitted to the Expert Panel by the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials
To conduct an independent, unbiased assessment of fragrance material safety in accordance with generally accepted scientific criteria, standards and methodologies
To recommend research on fragrance materials to support safety assessments
To publish the results of fragrance material safety assessments in peer-reviewed scientific journals
To review and assess scientific data to determine whether the International Fragrance Association should issue Standards either restricting or banning a fragrance material
