Dr.Maria Dagli is a Full Professor of Pathology at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, University of São Paulo (USP), graduated in Veterinary Medicine and with specialization, Masters and PhD in Experimental and Comparative Pathology. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/WHO) in Lyon, France.
Her expertise spans toxicological and experimental pathology, comparative oncology, genetically modified organisms, and risk assessment. She is a member of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) Expert Panel, and is actively engaged in international regulatory and scientific bodies, including the Executive Board of the International Union of Toxicology (IUTox), the International Ad-hoc Expert Group at HESI, and Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Developmento, OECD.
She previously served as Acting Vice- President of Brazil’s National Technical Biosafety Commission (CTNBio) and currently represents the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation at CTNBio. She is also a member of the São Paulo Research Foundation, FAPESP, Area Coordination in Agronomy and Veterinary Sciences, contributing to research evaluation and funding oversight.
She has authored or coauthored more than 300 publications in peer reviewed journals, and has supervised over 50 graduate students and 14 post-docs at the USP. She is an active member of international scientific societies like SOT, STP, Tox Forum, IATP.
